Canal Engagement Indianapolis // Kara + Andrew (Part 1)

I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that it was probably 900 degrees outside the day Kara + Andrew met up with me for their engagement session (okay maybe slightly exaggerating.) The beginning of July in the Midwest, if you are from here, you already know it’s gonna be HOT. Or rainy.

Thankfully it was only hot.

We stuck to the shadows for the beginning and hiked around the Indy Canal Walk. We explored some of my favorite spots and I found a few new ones that I will most likely frequent again. We ended the evening on top of one of my favorite parking garages. This garage has what I consider to be one of THE best views of the Indy Skyline.

I absolutely love summer sunsets. The lighting is warmer, more flattering. Golden hour is even more golden. The warmth illuminates and lights up everything it touches.

These two were TOTAL troopers through the whole evening. I think we all mutually agreed that we are now SUPER stoked on their winter wedding since it won’t be hot outside!
