Sanctuary on Penn Wedding
// Shalyn + Kurt
There are certain weddings, certain couples that really stick out. When they do their wedding day their own way. Incorporate tons of personalized touches and details. Couples who are genuinely nice and sincere humans that make your job so easy. So fun. So memorable.
That’s how it was with Shalyn + Kurt.
And their day was perfection. Their wedding took place at the Sanctuary on Penn. The Sanctuary is another one of my most favorite venues. It offers so much variety, has a vintage feel to it, and they serve some of THE best food around. All of which is made in house. It is seriously the best.
They incorporated so many little details and personalized touches. It was a dream to photograph. Seriously a dream. They carved out a ton of time with me to take them out around downtown for photos (more of this PLEASE.) They incorporated a beer toast into their ceremony (they are both beer connoisseurs.) AND so much more.
The amount of thought that went into every heartfelt word spoken during their ceremony, the way they did everything how they wanted to. Sticking to tradition, and breaking the rules on some of that tradition to make their day truly their own. Unique. Perfect. Totally them.
And it was the absolute best time.
And I didn’t want it to end.
I always think that you should make your wedding exactly how YOU want it. You shouldn’t follow tradition for just traditions sake. Break tradition. Switch it up. Make your day unique to you. Special. Memorable.
At the end of the day, you should do exactly what makes you happy.
