Blossoming Spring Trees Engagement Session
// Caitlin + Cody
It was warm and sunny, without so much as a cloud in the sky. And the kind of warm that’s not too hot but not too cold, comfortable. It was exactly the night we’d been hoping for. Rescheduling for. Waiting for the stars, our schedules, and mother nature to align for. An evening just like this.
I took Caitlin + Cody to Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park at the start of the evening. The foliage around the Fort finally looked like spring- bright and green, just hinting at the lush foliage to come soon. Hinting of summer. We explored the trails along the waters edge and then went over to the walnut plantation which is always my favorite in the spring. This year the fields around the trees was cut back making a great spot to snuggle together between the rows of trees.
Toward sunset we raced down to a field I’d discovered the night before- full of blossoming trees. Quiet and secluded. Something about this spot felt so magical. The way the sun danced through the tree blossoms. The abundance of blooming trees, their white flowers overflowing their branches.
This. This is what spring feels like.
