Indianapolis Canal Engagement

The weather was the perfect amount of warm. Not too hot, and not too humid. With the just the right amount of sun.
And it was perfect.
I met Brooke + John by their home in the Silk Lofts in Downtown Indy. The Silk Lofts are these super cool brick buildings over close to Mass Ave (If I ever move downtown, I’m totally going to live in one of these lofts. They are so amazing.) Brooke + John showed me some of their favorite spots around the Lofts. A street or two over from Mass Ave the alleys around the Lofts were quiet and secluded and felt like a little peaceful oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After we exhausted the alleyways, brick walls, cool doors and wall features, we headed over to the canal for the second half of the shoot.
The canal was surprisingly empty considering the nice weather of the evening. We wandered around finding the best lighting and unique spots. We spent a good amount of time around a turquoise bridge that gave me a great vantage point for some images from above.
It was so much fun.
