Spring Couples Session

I love the energy of spring. The signs of new life. The anticipation. Life awakening after going dormant through the cold months.
When the trees around Indy started blossoming I knew I HAD to shoot a session near them. I talked my brother and his girlfriend into “modeling” for me on a random Sunday evening I had open.
We started off driving around, looking for the perfect grouping of blooming trees. I didn’t see exactly what I had in mind in a few spots so we headed to Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. That’s when I spotted it, on the way to the park- a field FULL of blooming trees. It was absolutely perfect. But the lighting wasn’t yet quite right.
We continued on to Fort Ben. The walnut plantation was just the right amount of green and the sun peeked through the rows of trees. It was the PERFECT place to start. Then we headed up to an area with hills and fields. After that we headed back down to the walnut plantation where the lighting was just right. And even better than before.
Closer to sunset we headed back to that perfect magical spot of blooming trees. We climbed into them and it was even better than it looked like it would be from the road. It felt surreal. Like being in another world. A fairy-tale land.
